Festival of Trees

Every year I've wanted to go to the festival of Trees with Blake but it' s always the week before finals when we are stressed and busy in Logan. This year NO SCHOOL, NO FINALS so Blake knew he had to take me to see the trees. We did find this Utah State tree that reminded us of how much we miss Logan, just not finals week!
Kyler loved all the lights but we had a hard time keeping him from playing with all the cool toys. The biggest hit was of course the Thomas the Train Tree.

Kyler's Photo Shoot

We finally did a 2 year photo for Kyler even though he turned 2 in June. It seemed like every time we scheduled it something would happen. Kyler got sick twice, I got sick, Kyler even got bit by a dog on his face so after 6 months of trying here are the results.
The cheesy grin just makes me smile.

Of course we had to get some with his trains since everything in our house right now revolves around Thomas the Train.

Zoey is 1 month old

So obviously I doing some posting a little late since she is almost 2 months old now, but here are some photos Blake took when she turned one month. The blanket and hat were made by Blake's mom. She has been crocheting the cutest stuff for Zoey and is really talented.
She was up to 10 lbs at a month old. That probably doesn't seem like much to most but it took Kyler forever to get that big so she seems huge to us.

Thanksgiving 2008

This year my family went to St. George for Thanksgiving but I really didn't feel up to traveling with a newborn so we went with Blake's family to Ogden. All the food was wonderful. We look forward to his aunt Luann's rolls all year. And the company was great too!!This was his cousin Derrek's first Thanksgiving home from his mission.

Kyler found a race track to put together and play with so he was entertained all day. The rest of us went outside and played the "stick game". I'm sure it has a name but we don't know it. We built it out of wood from Home Depot and it has been a big hit over the years.Kyler did some posing for Aunt Brooke's camera as well. He was just walking around the back yard and luckily someone was there with a camera to catch what he was doing.

Just Some Catching Up

So prepare yourself for one of those lengthy haven't blogged in awhile posts. Don't worry though it will be mostly pictures.

Saturday morning cartoons with dad. This was before our furnace was fixed!Bowling with Grandpa. We still can't drive by a bowling alley without Kyler getting crazy excited. The wonderful Pizza Factory opened up in Syracuse a few weeks ago and we thought it was a good idea to go on opening weekend with our friends the VanOrdens. It was crazy but delicious!Kyler helping with Zoey's first bath in the sink.
Our cheesy son holding "baby sister" (her name as far as Kyler is concerned).Everyone sleeping with their eyes open!! At least Kyler is trying to.
